Incorrect operation occurs while using the power-on reset function. What could be causing this problem? What should I set for the pull-up resistance value between pins Vcc and RESET?
If there is no possibility of external surge input to the RESET pin, resistance is not required between pins Vcc and RESET. For possible causes of incorrect operation, check the following:
- Is the power rise gradient of the MCU Vcc pin within the specifications of the Electrical Characteristics?
- When the power rises, does the RESET pin always maintain the voltage of 0.8 × Vcc or above?
- When using the power-on reset function, voltage monitor reset must be also used. Is the voltage monitor reset function is enabled?
