Regardless of the whether I select the correct MCU product number in the emulator debugger, the following messages are generated when I start up the E10A-USB software and the software will not run. What is the cause and workaround for this problem?
“MCU ID code error” or “Failed to identify the MCU”
- H8SX/1651 Group:
This message is displayed when the EMLE pin on the H8SX/1651 Group MCU is set to low. When using the E10A-USB, make sure the EMLE pin on the H8SX/1651 Group MCU is set to high.
- SH7080 Series, SH7146 Series, SH7149 Series:
This message is displayed when the MCU on the user target board and the "Device" selected in "Select Emulator Mode" dialog box that pops up at emulator startup are not the same.
Even MCUs within the same series (such as SH7080, SH7146 and SH7149 Series) may have different emulator functions. Make sure the correct MCU part name is selected.
Example: SH7049 includes 4 different part name
R5E71494R（R5E71491R), R5F71494R, R5F71491R, R5F71494A
Make sure you select the correct MCU part name for the MCU you are using.
